I've just come across a young woman who produces the most amazing embroidery. Her name is Alicja Kozliwska, and she is Polish. She specialises in reproducing ordinary items using a technique she calls 'artquilting' which involves combining hand embroidery and machine stitching to make three-dimensional pieces. The detail is incredible. Just look at these...
Click on the images for more detail, or even better, check out her website [here] where you will find even more brilliant artworks. I love the Oreo cookies, and the Kinder Eggs. And the Starbucks cup is tremendous. |
Very creative! I like the banana peel, the best!

DeleteWow ... those are amazing. How talented she is.

ReplyDeleteA similar idea is the artist Lucy Sparrow at sewyoursoul.co.uk who created an entire Corner shop out of felt!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to Lucy's work. I love her little felt Christmas decorations (a can of Heinz beans etc)
DeleteVery clever embroidery! They look so real.
ReplyDeleteI could just do with that Oreo and a cup of tea...
