Wood You Believe It?

I entered an online competition - one of those 'click to enter' ones which required no thought [or purchases or barcodes] and I won! So thank you to the forestry commission for this lovely haul of goodies
The following things were in the parcel

  • a cotton shopping bag
  • a very nice notebook
  • a Stick Man backpack mascot
  • a Stick Man activity pck [that's gone to the children next door]
  • a one-day free car park pass forForestry Commission sites
  • and best of all - the Stick Man DVD
I love Julia Donaldson's work, and especially The Gruffalo. Sadly her stories came out a little too late for Liz and Steph's childhood - but I cannot wait to read them to Rosie!
You may have seen The Stick Man on TV at Christmas- with a stellar cast providing the voices  - Martin Freeman, Jennifer Saunders, Hugh Bonneville, Russell Tovey, Rob Brydon et al.
This is a lovely prize to have won, and will give a lot of pleasure all round. Thank you Forestry Commission!!

  3. DD1 recently had a Julia Donaldson dress up day at school. She was Aurora the witch from Room on the Broom :)

  4. That's great. We are doing Julia Donaldson stories in year 2 at the moment. We also have an incubator full of eggs and pots of wriggling caterpillars in the classroom!
