Friday was spent sewing, as I was busy preparing the teddy sweatshirts for the pupils who are leaving at the end of term.
A dog, a panda and a monkey sneaked in too – and one girl wanted her teddy’s shirt made from a white PE tee-shirt.
9 am - I assembled all the gear
Then I laid out the toys and the sweatshirts
Then I took the sweatshirts apart – bodies, sleeves and ribbing – and prepared a paper pattern for each toy
I cut out all the sweatshirts – stopping for other tasks at 11am
And sewed them up [1pm – 3pm for machining, then 7 -9.30pm for handstitching, whilst watching TV]
It takes just under an hour per teddy!
