This has to be one of the fastest jumpers I've ever knitted! Twelve hours from start to finish. This the the super chunky yarn Marion gave me. It's Swiftknit by Stylecraft. I bought the pattern from Etsy and downloaded it Saturday afternoon. It was really easy to knit up. I like the Moss stitch hem, cuffs and collar. I hope Rosie likes it too...

Wow, Angela! You are a super fast knitter! I'm sure Rosie will love her new sweater!

DeleteDid you ever walk around school knitting with giant wooden needles? seem to remember this being a craze in about 1968!
ReplyDeleteOh yes! But I thought the "Twinpin" thing, where you had one regular and one chunky needle was stupid. I watched a woman at the Sandringham Craft Fair a few years back, knitting blankets with two stands of superchunky on broom handles needles. That was even more crazy. I am happiest with DK yarn on 4mm (or "size 8s" as they were called when I learned to knit in the 1960s)
DeleteRosie will look lovely in the Granmade jumper. It’s such a great colour and modern style. Catriona

It was SO quick!
DeleteThe jumper is lovely, and in great colours for Rosie too!
ReplyDeleteTwelve hours, did you actually stop to draw breath? X
Oh yes, I did it in 2 hour stints (whilst watching TV) and Bob was great at bringing me cups of tea.
DeleteApplause, applause!! My hands don't work well together so I cannot knit for the life of me. I'm happy making quilts of all sizes and colors, so am not bereft.
ReplyDeleteHugs!
Your quilts are utterly beautiful Barbara - and bring much joy to many people I know ❤️
DeleteI'm sure Rosie will love that cosy sweater and the colour will be just right with her pretty hair.

DeleteBeautiful sweater! And such lovely colours that can be handed down to a boy or girl. I wish I could find one like that in my size.
ReplyDeleteWell done, Angela! ~ skye
