Today we are at Robin and Gillian's wedding. Bob has turned a bowl for them. Wanting to reflect the fact the the bride has Scottish heritage, and the groom has spent half his life north of the border, the bowl is inset with a special coin. Commemorating the 1986 Commonwealth Games in Edinburgh, the design features a Saltire and a thistle.
I think it's gorgeous!
What a thoughtful and beautiful gift . Isabel

DeleteIt's a beautiful bowl, and so special with that coin. My father made wood bowls, so I have a lot of them.
