This Takes The Biscuit!

I have been incredibly disciplined, and rationed myself with magazines this holiday. I did not open my Prima till Sunday – and the Mollie Makes [issue 4, the last one in my £5 offer] was not opened till last night. But it is, I think, the best yet. Perhaps it is because I am trying to lose weight – but these felt biscuits are great…

No, I have no idea what I would do with them – and they would attract dust if left on display, but they are such good fun!

The website [here]gives the templates for the crafts from all the first 4 issues. Do they plan to keep this up? Surely people will stop buying the magazine if they can just download the essential crafting information? Or are they hoping people will buy it just to look at all the pretty ads and pictures of craftspersons’ habitats?

The purse [page 80] in this issue is good, I should like to attempt this – but requires a 10cm clasp – so why are all the ones they picture on page 84 the wrong size for the pattern?

I know Mags and PomPom have crocheted apple covers – but has anyone else done any of the other MM projects?

  1. Oooooh! Calorie free. Those felt biscuits look good enough to eat! What a relaxing holiday you are having.

  2. I read an article the other day that said making your brain think that there are high calorie foods around will trick it into thinking you are eating them. Maybe the felt biscuits would do the trick?

  3. I did make two crocheted apple jackets - a bit of madness really but it did make me learn to crochet and was a great hit in my daughter's lunchbox. (Ssshhh - the other one is for my lunchbox - hubby keeps saying I am very sad!) I haven't made anything else yet, although I may attempt the Starburst cushion. The felt biscuits do look fun but I resisted buying the issue.
