Showstoppers Day Four

Dress Up Day

Bert The Chimney Sweep from Mary Poppins

We had two children dressed as MP

One excellent Phantom of The Opera

 

Two or three boys came as Oliver, and one group leader was a Very Sinister Fagin!

Lots of cheerleaders from High school Musical and many many Cats

A couple of girls in black stockings and heels for Chicago

Two Dorothys from Oz

A number of gangster types and a Pink Lady from Grease

I can't publish pictures of the children though

 

At the end of the session, staff put together some phenomenal displays of craft work ready for the Open Evening and Barbecue

After the morning session, Bob and I had lunch with Debbie in her lovely new flat. The heavens opened and we had a phenomenal hailstorm.

Here's a picture of the rain beating down on her french doors, and you can just make out the hailstones on her 'Juliet Balcony' They are the white specks on the sandy yellow bricks.

And yet - by this evening, the sky was blue and the weather was lovely and around 200 people came along to the BBQ. It was amazingly good. The kids sang their hearts out, the parents were well impressed- and the staff team worked their socks off to provide a great evening for everyone.

I was so busy all night I never took any more pictures.
